Capital O 697 The Sirona Hotel

The outside isn’t much to look at, but inside the hotel is really nice. The two rooms we had were different sizes despite costing the same, one quite small and the other relatively big. Both were cozy and comfortable. Breakfast was included and quite nice, though the spread was small. I had a good time and would stay here again if I were in Pune.

The rooms have all the amenities, including an electric kettle, toiletries, and a minibar. The lobby and lift are small, and the key cards don’t always work. Finding the place can be difficult because the sign is hard to spot, and metro construction makes it trickier. Free breakfast has few choices. The AC can also get noisier than it is cool. The hotel could have been better.

The staff are courteous and the service is good. The hotel is a good budget option, but its kitchen is closed, so they bring food from a nearby hotel. Only vegetarian food is available, and it takes a while. Even tea or coffee can take around 45 minutes when you need it. You can order online, though. Apart from the food delays, everything is fine.

I was put in the other block of Sirona Hotel, which I believe is the old building. My room was well equipped and had a fridge with soft drinks, which you have to pay for if you use them. There’s open space around the hotel, making the room feel pleasant. The breakfast was good, and the servers were very well mannered. Given the price and facilities, the hotel did better than I expected. I’d give an extra star for their courteous behavior.
