Corporate Stay

We had a nice stay with family near Baner, in a quiet place. The service was quite good, and the unlimited buffet breakfast tasted good, with 3 varieties. They also offer lunch and dinner at an affordable cost.

The hotel is near a market and food outlets. The service, safety, and interior are all too good. A great stay for corporate work, couples, or families.

Baner Pune is a quiet locality, and the rooms are quite spacious. Breakfast could use more variety, though. That’s about where the positives end: the room phone didn’t work, the WiFi was terribly slow, and the furniture was chipped and poorly maintained. A low price shouldn’t mean the lowest possible quality. Basic cleanliness and working amenities were missing.

For a cheaper hotel, the room I had was huge, though I can’t say if they’re all that size. The bed was large and comfortable, and the bathroom was quite big too. The AC and fan worked fine, and the toilet flush was fine, but not all the lights worked. There was one little mirror where I could only see my face, no dresser, and a slightly bigger mirror above the bathroom basin. The constant smell of something like spirit or paint thinner made it hard to sleep, and by day two my belongings had started smelling the same. I could open the windows, but they had no bars, so I didn’t feel safe doing that. They’d left very old, expired coffee, sugar, and milk packets, with ants all over them. I didn’t check whether the kettle worked. Soap and towels were provided, but no toothpaste. Hot water took about two buckets of draining the pipes to come through, so I had to allow time before showering. I mostly reused that water for flushing the toilet. Breakfast was meant to be included, but I was charged for the first day because I arrived before check-in and they said that breakfast was for the “previous day.” I checked out at night and didn’t need the “next day” breakfast, which I thought would balance it out, but they charged me anyway. My room wasn’t cleaned during my stay. I didn’t ask, so I’m not sure if they would have done it if I had. It wasn’t exactly uncomfortable, but for a hotel like this I expected better hygiene. It’s by no means a 3-star place.
