OYO 2161 Hotel Ashray

My family and I had a pleasant stay, and check-in was easy. The rooms were clean. Breakfast was limited to one item per person, either a sandwich or poha, with anything extra charged. They didn't provide a water jug or mug, just reused plastic bottles for daily drinking water.

It's right across from the bus stand, which makes getting to and from the property really convenient.

The hotel entrance in the pictures is actually the restaurant they use. Reception is around the back, down an alley. My room was a little dated but clean, and I had to switch rooms on the first day because the Wi-Fi only worked in a corner of the “balcony.” I found cockroaches too, as another reviewer had mentioned. Reception sprayed the room after I reported it, leaving a smell I really didn't like. The restaurant food was good and there was plenty for the price, though some staff were rude. What bothered me most was being called or knocked on every morning about breakfast. I told them after the first day not to wake me, but they kept doing it. This wasn't the worst stay I've had in India, but it was a frustrating one.

I spent four days here for official training and was glad I chose this hotel. The staff were very cooperative, even responding when I asked for service in the middle of the night.
