OYO 23430 Hotel Radiant

I’ve stayed here twice, first for two days and then for one day on my return. The location is convenient, with transport easy to find and plenty of eateries close by. Check-in and checkout were smooth, and there’s parking and a lift. The rooms are clean, very large, airy, and have a city view. Toiletries, an intercom, free water, and hot water around the clock were provided. The employees were very cooperative. I personally had no complaints, and at this price it felt like the best deal.

The lift felt unsafe and was in really poor condition. I was moved after complaining to the manager, but the second room had leftover rice and food scattered around, as if it hadn’t been cleaned after the previous guest. The first room wasn’t clean either, and its blanket had visible stains and looked unchanged. When I asked for a fresh one, the staff showed neither responsibility nor basic manners. Hygiene, staff behavior, and management all left me very disappointed. I wouldn’t recommend Radiant Hotel, Pune for a decent, comfortable stay.

Room 202 gives you a view of the main road, though the windows aren’t soundproof and the honking gets noisy. The hotel is on a major road in an important location, so it’s usually occupied. We paid ₹4600 for 3 people for 1 day and 2 nights, with no meals or breakfast included. The free morning tea was really good. The room size was decent, but although there are around 12 rooms, they don’t have beds for 3 people, so one of us slept on the floor. Service was average. The intercoms weren’t working in any room, so you have to call their mobile number. I called at 7:30 AM and they didn’t pick up. You can manage a day or two here. I’d rate it around 3.8 stars.

The location is the one thing this OYO has going for it. My room wasn’t clean, the towels were old, and the TV stayed out of order for 2 days. At night there was no hot water unless I called reception, and then staff would take my bucket away and bring it back with hot water. They don’t have their own canteen, and when I ordered coffee the staff member demanded payment right then, even after I said I’d settle the bills at checkout. There was no iron, and laundry took more than 30 minutes to iron one shirt. The complimentary breakfast was tasteless and not a meal I wanted to start my day with. I’d give it a negative rating if I could. I rarely write reviews this harsh, but they asked for it. They even had the nerve to tell my colleagues to leave a 5 star rating. 👎🏼
