The rooms weren’t clean, and the curtains and bedsheets were stained and smelled awful. We left the hotel at 1 am because I didn’t feel safe, and the whole experience was upsetting and disappointing. The night receptionist spoke to me very rudely, and I felt disrespected by the way he treated me as a woman. When I complained, he said the hotel had had a crime incident before involving a couple. He looked at me and my brother and assumed we were a couple without even checking our IDs. The staff treated us like third-grade people. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

The rooms are cheap, but the price is still too high for what you get. They weren’t cleaned before we were assigned them, and the reception staff were rude and disrespectful. I wouldn’t recommend staying here, especially for families or women. If comfort is what you’re after, this is a definite no.

The Deluxe AC room was reasonably comfortable, and breakfast was included in my stay. A few practical things brought the experience down: there wasn’t a chair to sit and work or eat, and the washroom door couldn’t be locked from the outside. Breakfast cost ₹196, but all I got was one plate of poha and a cup of tea, which didn’t feel worth the charge. The stay was satisfactory overall, though better room basics and breakfast service would help.

Hotel Suraj Classic was a good deal for the level of comfort and service. The room was well kept and comfortable, and the price felt very reasonable for what was provided. The staff were friendly and professional from the time I arrived, and they made sure my needs were taken care of. I’d recommend Hotel Suraj Classic for either a work trip or a holiday if you want a pleasant stay at a fair price.
