Residency club

There’s plenty of parking, and the location in Pune is great. A good place to stay with family, or visit with family and friends. Also suited to conference meetings.

This was a dangerous, traumatic two-night stay at Residency Club Pune. My elderly father slipped on the passage flooded by a badly leaking AC unit in his room and sprained his ankle. The intercoms were dead and there was no mobile signal, so we couldn’t call for emergency help. In my brother’s room, water that appeared to be from the toilet seeped onto the carpet beside the bed after flushing. My own room was unbearable, with a roaring AC motor and repeated power cuts both nights. My toddler cried all night from the noise and outages, and our trip was ruined. The management hadn’t told us the property was a major construction zone. The lobby smelled of paint and amenities were closed. Whenever we raised the chaos and hazards, each issue was dismissed as “renovation.” We paid luxury rates for a hazardous building site, and management took no responsibility. The disrespect was just as bad. General Manager Siddharth Nigam was in the lobby on his phone while we were there. Though we were regular guests with a three-room booking, he first sent word through staff that he was “too busy” to deal with it. For a crisis involving an injured parent and a crying toddler, he sent stale cheese bread and tea to my parents’ room with a note saying to “stay calm.” When he eventually came over, he seemed indifferent and refused to move us, even though the hotel was empty. The attached video shows water seeping into the room when the toilet is flushed. This property is a health and safety risk, not a hotel. Don’t gamble your family’s well-being or money here. Residency Club Pune should not be operational.

The service was slow and unprofessional, and the food was nowhere near what I expected. The dishes lacked freshness and taste, while the prices were extremely high. It wasn’t worth the cost at all. I wouldn’t recommend this place unless the food and customer service improve seriously.

The location, decor, and lights were the only good parts for me. The rest was average. We attended an engagement ceremony, and it was very hard to coordinate because there was no mobile network inside the venue. They should install boosters. Tea or coffee was also missing for the evening program.
