Sorina Hillside Resort

We went to Sorina Resort with friends and all had a memorable time. It’s a hidden gem around Pune, with activities for kids, several pools, a rain dance setup, disco pubs, and a lovely selfie walkway. The staff were kind and supportive, which made the stay even better. They serve vegetarian food and soft drinks. Hard drinks are allowed only inside the rooms. I’d recommend it to families or couples looking for a fun, relaxing getaway. 👍

There are cozy cottages and spacious bungalows among the resort’s many stay options. It’s a huge, beautifully maintained place, with three inviting swimming pools and a well-equipped play area for children, so it works well for families. The food was fresh and flavorful, and the hospitality and service across the property were impressive. There’s also a large banquet hall for events and celebrations. A wonderful spot for a family getaway or special occasion. Highly recommended.

The food was genuinely good, which was the resort’s strongest point. The rooms and pool were decent but nothing special. It seems suited to destination weddings and events, but leisure guests don’t have a pleasant experience when functions are going on. Before booking, I specifically asked if there would be any functions during our stay and was clearly told there wouldn’t be. We booked based on that, but a ceremony was taking place while we were there. That gap between what we were told and what happened affected the whole stay. If the resort mainly caters to weddings and functions, it should be transparent about events or stop taking independent leisure bookings during those times. Maintenance was an issue too. The bathroom door knob malfunctioned, and my wife was stuck inside for nearly 25 minutes. That’s unacceptable and a safety concern. I can’t speak for other guests, but based on my experience, I won’t return.

For the affordable price, this is one of the best properties I’ve stayed at. The food was delightful, with lots of options, all vegetarian, and the staff were kind and served on time. The grounds are so huge that many people don’t explore all of them. There’s a dance session, swimming pool, indoor games, badminton and volleyball court, and cricket court. prashant was a great host.
