Amanora The Fern Pune, Series by Marriott

Amanora The Fern is a premium 4-star "Ecotel" (environmentally sensitive hotel) in Amanora Park Town, Hadapsar, Pune. Its distinctive palatial architecture and location near the Amanora and Magarpatta business hubs are major highlights. Amanora Mall is a two-minute walk away, and Magarpatta City is very close, making the location handy for business travelers. The hotel has sprawling lawns, an amphitheatre, and a scenic view of the Amanora lake. Amenities include Vista, a multi-cuisine coffee shop, a well-stocked bar, an indoor swimming pool, a gymnasium, and a rooftop tennis court. The spacious, well-maintained rooms follow eco-friendly practices.

We came here for a corporate party in the open area. It was very large and nice, with cozy settings. The Amphitheatre near the lake added to the feel of the experience. The food was great, and the staff were well managed. Google Map gave us the wrong location when we visited.

Everything else about the stay was good. AFREEN kindly arranged an early check-in, the food tasted good, and the restaurant staff apart from DHIRU were really good. ABHISHEK gave very good service and made up for DHIRU a little. I'm giving one star because DHIRU, who was managing the floor in vista on valentine day dinner, ruined our Valentine's evening. Even though other seats were available, he denied us the table we wanted, and then nobody came to fill it. I don't know why he did that, but he was very rude and spoiled the mood for the evening.

The hotel’s kitchen was partly closed, so I had to get food from outside. Staff responded by repeatedly questioning me and treating me like a criminal. There was no explanation, courtesy, or empathy, and the whole thing felt more like policing than hospitality. It was an intimidating and deeply uncomfortable stay. If the hotel can’t provide its full services, guests shouldn’t be shamed for finding basic alternatives. This has seriously affected how I see the brand. Management needs to train staff in communication, guest care, and basic courtesy. I’d advise future guests to check the policy beforehand.
