Townhouse OAK Kuval Inn

I paid for an extra night so I could check in at 5am, but nobody was at reception and the hotel door was wide open. Once I finally got in, the room was disgusting: one light didn't work, and there was no soap, towel, water, or anything else in the room. The whole place felt creepy and very unsafe, so I booked another hotel despite paying in full for this one. A completely awful stay. I wouldn't recommend it, especially to a woman travelling alone.

The location has a couple of good food joints nearby, but the overall impression was hotel mismanagement. The pictures on the booking site were misleading, and the room TV didn't work properly until staff fixed it. The bathroom had no toiletries, and for a booking of three people, they provided only two towels, so I had to ask for another. The bathroom was dirty, and the bedsheets and blankets looked arranged rather than freshly washed. The intercom looked like it had never been cleaned. Staff seemed untrained for this industry, and there didn't appear to be routine or surprise checks on room upkeep. Room boys didn't clear the food plates after I told them when serving, so I had to call reception. Both breakfast and the breakfast venue were discouraging. I didn't expect this kind of experience, at least not in Pune.

The hotel stay was good, but the service from Oyo was terrible. The hotel and Oyo kept passing the issue back and forth over a simple invoice, and even after escalating, they still wouldn't provide one. Ritesh Agarwal, get the basics right first.

Good breakfast, spacious rooms and location, and it's in budget. It's a safe place to stay with your girl in Pune.
