Hotel Sahara Pune

The one small bright spot was the security guard, who was courteous and understanding despite also being asleep. The rest of the service was horrible. Staff were sleeping and ignored us, with no one making an effort to help or respond. Early check-in wasn’t available, which was fine, but there was nowhere to store luggage and no attempt to assist us. It felt like zero hospitality, professionalism, or respect. This doesn’t deserve to be called a hotel, and felt worse than a roadside shelter. I’d rather wait outside than stay here if I cared about my time, money, and peace of mind.

The rooms are laid out well and have all the facilities, but room service is very poor. Reception doesn’t respond at all. Better service would bring this up to five stars.

It’s in a fantastic location and the prices are very competitive. Staff were attentive and service was very good. The buffet breakfast could be better.

I found many cockroaches around the bed, wardrobe, and sofa at Treebo Sahara Shivaji Nagar, Pune. I even have a photo of one from the room. I reported it right away and asked to change rooms, but was told none were available. Worried about my safety while sleeping, I asked for cotton to put in my ears in case cockroaches got in. Instead of dealing with the infestation or offering proper help, staff gave me tissue paper and told me to put that in my ears and sleep. That was irresponsible, unsafe, and insensitive advice that could have caused serious medical problems. The experience left me extremely uncomfortable, anxious, and distressed. I booked through MakeMyTrip expecting basic hygiene, safety, and care, and none of those standards were met. Cockroaches in the room indicate poor hygiene and a health and safety risk. This is unacceptable for a hotel listed on a reputed platform.
