Capital O 28224 Victoria Royal

The hotel made it easy to get around, sitting between the sea beach and the temple, with the market close by too. I especially liked having a balcony that looked toward Jagannath Puri Temple. My room was spacious and clean, and the staff were courteous. The food was a letdown, with very few breakfast choices, though the chef and service staff put in a commendable effort. I found Hotel Victoria Royal worth the money.

The room and balcony weren't as clean as they should have been, and the linen looked dirty. We had to ask for water, and nobody had told us the restaurant was closed. When we asked for the room to be cleaned the next day, we even had to explain to housekeeping how to clean the floor. Their service left us dissatisfied, and the rooms could be better for what they charge. The location is decent: the beach is a 7-8 minute walk away, though you can't see much of it from the hotel. You can see Jagannath Temple from the balcony. If management improves housekeeping and keeps the rooms to a higher standard, this could be a good option in Puri.

We had a very bad experience because of staff member Narayan Acharya. He scolded my senior-citizen mother and wouldn't let her enter the room during the day. I wouldn't bring my family here. Very bad, very bad. 💔

Being near Shree Jagannath Puri Temple and the Puri Beaches made it easy to visit both. We also had our own balcony, with lovely views that added to the atmosphere of the stay. The rooms were bright during the day, and both the rooms and service were above average. There’s an in-house restaurant and a lift, which made getting around convenient. The friendly, attentive staff helped make the hotel feel welcoming. Hotel Victoria Royal offers a comfortable and convenient stay in Puri.
