Collection O Manikarnika Sahi Near Jagannath Temple

We confirmed several times by phone, and the hotel said the booking was confirmed. But when we arrived to check in, they told us it was sold out. We’d booked four days in advance and then struggled to find another good place. Horrible experience. God help them show some courtesy to Vaishnav.

Being near the temple wasn’t enough to make up for everything else. When we arrived to check in, nobody was at reception and there was no staff around. Services were poor, and the hotel didn’t have lunch or breakfast. They only made tea after we asked many times. It was a waste of money and time. Given how we were treated, I could have accepted the prices if they were lower, but the rates were like a 3 star place while the service was awful. Don’t go.

At about 3:00 AM, I arrived with a confirmed reservation and found that the staff had given my room to other guests. They refused to accommodate me and offered no apology or immediate help. After a lot of insisting and inconvenience, they found another place for me, but it was far below the hotel I’d booked and paid for in hygiene, comfort, and overall quality. The incident caused major stress, disrupted my plans, and left a lasting bad impression. The staff showed no regard for their responsibility. Guests should be able to count on basic courtesy and confirmed bookings, especially when arriving in the middle of the night, and neither happened here. I urge the management to take this seriously and improve training and accountability.

Spacious room, great amenities, and staff who behaved well. Overall, really good.
