Goroomgo Samrat Palace Puri

The staff argued with guests and behaved rudely, with no sense of hospitality. Even water or food could take hours, and some staff acted inappropriately, which made the place feel unsafe. We were charged more than the price listed online. The hotel also has poor parking, a bad location, and careless management. It felt like a nightmare. There are many nearby hotels with better amenities for less, so avoid this one.

I've been here for a month, and I'm still happy each day that I picked this hotel. The staff are lovely and friendly. I was surprised by the reviews below, though maybe those problems came from third-party booking systems. The rooms are nice, and the place is peaceful, tucked away from the road but still nearby. There's a steady ocean breeze, so it doesn't feel as hot as other Puri hotels, and the rooftop has an amazing sea view. I'll keep coming back. It's a lovely place.

The staff made the stay unpleasant. They were rude, slow to respond, and seemed uninterested in helping, even with basic requests. There was little respect or hospitality toward guests. I had a disappointing time at UK Palace Hotel in Puri and wouldn't recommend it to anyone who expects good service.

We were charged more than the price shown on the website, which felt dishonest. At about 2:30 AM, staff knocked on our door, and some staff seemed to stalk female guests and behave inappropriately. It made the hotel feel unsafe for couples and families. They also argued with guests for no valid reason and treated us as though being given a room were a favor. Rude, unprofessional, and money-minded. Even water or food took hours. The hotel is at the far end of the street, with serious parking trouble and poor access. Plenty of nearby places cost a reasonable amount and are better. Booking here can become a nightmare. Avoid it.
