MAYFAIR Heritage, Puri

The food was fresh and awesome, although it took a while to arrive, usually 25-30 minutes. The staff were polite and always welcoming, and Mr Roy, the hotel GM, was kind, considerate, cooperative, and looked after guests very well. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and big. Mayfair’s grand decor makes it a pleasure to relax here, and it’s one of the most beautiful properties on Puri Beach. The spa at Mayfair Waves, across from the Heritage property, is noteworthy and a must-do. Must stay here when visiting Puri. All the best.

Archana, Ashok, Ranjit, and Pradyumna at the Teapot restaurant looked after us so nicely and served with a smile. The property is beautiful and peaceful, with clean private beaches, great staff, and amazing food, including plenty of good vegetarian options. Jagannath temple is hardly 3 km away, and there’s an aurous standing every single hour. We had no safety issues at all. Highly recommend it if you’re looking for a break.

We had to go back and forth between the Heritage and Waves sides every time we wanted breakfast or beach access, which was extremely inconvenient and poorly managed. We were assigned a room on the Heritage side. At the wedding functions, the vegetarian food was tasteless, bland, and lacking even basic seasoning, a major letdown for such an important part of a wedding and for a property billed as premium. The grounds aren’t very large and felt underwhelming. There are too many stairs, making it hard for elderly guests to get around, and the layout and convenience don’t feel like a luxury resort. This Mayfair also falls well short of the brand’s other properties in the state, where I’ve experienced much better hospitality, upkeep, and quality. Nearby Puri properties offer better service, food, and convenience. This visit didn’t justify the brand name.

We checked into rooms 107 and 106 at noon today, November 25, 2025. I paid 37k for one night for the two rooms, hoping my parents and I would have a calm, luxurious stay. Instead, a wedding by the pool right outside our rooms played loud music all day. At 10 pm I was writing this, and our trip was ruined. I recorded a video but couldn’t upload it. We went to reception at 8 m to raise the issue. They calmly said nothing could be done and the music would go on until 10 pm. At 10:09 pm it was still in full flow. Restaurant service also takes loads of patience, with food taking more than an hour. The portions were good, but the attendant urged us to order extra, saying the amount wouldn’t be enough. The extra food went to waste and cost me more. I hope this helps someone avoid having their money and happy moments ruined like this. I also hope someone from mayfair reads this and reaches out.
