Hotel Royal Crown worked well as a base for getting between the temples and beaches. Blue Flag Beach and Golden Beach were about a 10-minute walk or a short auto ride away, and the main spiritual area was easy to reach. It's on Chandan Hajuri Road. My air-conditioned deluxe room had crisp bedding, a practical layout, a workspace, and a mini-fridge. The bathroom was clean, and the rainfall shower was great for rinsing off sand after the beach. Wi-Fi was reliably over 50 Mbps, which helped with my digital work and staying connected. The hotel itself is simple and modern, with a peaceful feel. It comes across as a clean townhouse-style stay that keeps to a budget while covering the essentials, rather than a big luxury resort. The reception and housekeeping team were attentive and cooperative, and they quickly helped with extra items and local travel advice. Their warm Odia hospitality made me feel welcome. The on-site kitchen served tasty local and continental food, so I could have a quiet meal without spending time on transit. Check the timings in advance: they cater to early travelers with morning check-in around 9:00 AM, but confirm your slot. The upper floors are stairs only, so request a lower-floor room if you have heavy luggage or prefer ground access. For my visit to Puri, this was a comfortable, convenient place to rest between time by the sea and visits to the temple.

A horrible stay. The rooms were dirty, the linen wasn't clean, and the electronics and electrical equipment didn't work. The staff seemed untrained and couldn't fix anything when we complained. They seem used to dealing only with OYO couples. Families should avoid staying here. A big no.

I stayed from 6 november to 10 November and found the room poorly cleaned. There was hair on the bathroom floor and the bed linens looked unwashed. Staff were impolite and slow to respond when I raised it. The place also felt overpriced, with bad ambiance and disappointing service. It wasn't worth the money. They should check rooms more carefully before guests arrive; hopefully they improve for future stays. I hope this gets better.

At Hotel Royal Crown, even basic things like cleanliness, water, and guest support seemed neglected. The rooms felt unhygienic, facilities weren't maintained properly, and staff didn't respond. The ambience fell well short of what I expected. It was extremely disappointing, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. It doesn't deserve even one star.

The rooms were just okay, but the service was really bad. Even after several calls, nobody cleaned the room, and they didn't provide hand wash, soap, or a complimentary sealed water bottle. The bathroom tap leaked too. It's also far from the sea, so we had to book an auto every time we wanted to see the beach. There are plenty of hotels at this price, including ones right in front of the beach. Save your money and stay somewhere better.
