Toshali Sands Resort

There’s a calm, green setting here, away from the crowded beach areas, and the open spaces and swimming pool add to the experience. It seems well suited to families or groups. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the staff were polite and helpful. Food quality was decent with enough options. I had a pleasant stay at Toshali Sands during my Puri trip. A few areas could use minor upgrades, but the peaceful atmosphere and hospitality make it a good choice for a comfortable visit.

The peaceful natural setting, greenery, and clean, comfortable rooms made Toshali Sands Nature Escape a lovely place for a relaxing 2-3 day getaway. We ordered a cake specially, and they made it with less sugar. It tasted great and was reasonably priced. The firewood pizza was also very good, and their own organically grown mangoes and other fruits were fresh, tasty, and sold at affordable prices. We did have one small problem at Coastline Dhaba. Even though we booked a table, they wouldn’t accept payment through Swiggy. It was otherwise a beautiful, peaceful experience, with calm, nature, and good food together.

The resort itself is beautiful and well located, but our executive suite was old and poorly maintained. There were mosquitos everywhere, and we couldn’t sleep through the night. The bathroom was the worst part, extremely dirty and unhygienic, with a terrible stink. The room was filthy too, as if it hadn’t been cleaned after the previous guest left. We complained, but the support staff turned a blind eye. At 7.5k per night, it wasn’t worth the price. I’m not happy with the stay and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing luxury getaway.

The food was good, but this stay had a lot of mismanagement and wasn’t the luxury experience I expected. There were no welcome drinks or bellboy on arrival, and we had to ask who would take our luggage. Check-in itself was hassle-free. We booked a higher-priced package through the MMT site for 25% off on a bonfire, but the property told us that wasn’t possible that day. Our first room was a deluxe room in an apartment-style building that was still under construction. Paint stains were on the windows, door, and furniture, and we got twin beds despite booking a king-size bed. The bathroom ceiling was only half done, with two tile-sized holes. After we complained, they moved us to a better cottage. The advertised private beach is 4-5 km from the property, and the hotel provides a free round-trip vehicle. The person handling the transfer was very rude and made three people sit in two seats. He ignored our protests, and it felt as if they were paying us instead of the other way around.
