The reception staff were rude and dismissive, and when we complained they said someone would come to clean, but no one did. The washrooms were disgusting, with dirt, stains, and grime across the floors, corners, and around the drains. The washing jet beside the commode was just as filthy. I've seen Indian Railways toilets kept in better condition. This kind of neglect and lack of basic hygiene is completely unacceptable.

There’s no food at the lodge, though a hotel is right across from it. It’s within walking distance of Puri Singha Dwara, so it works well for a short stay near Puri temple. The rooms are basic but have a bed, sofa, almirah and mirror, along with AC, a geyser, Aquaguard and a lift. Getting a room can be difficult at peak times. The management team is good, though some of them seem a bit angry.

There’s no kitchen, so food and drinks aren’t available here. The bathroom smelled unpleasant and hadn’t been cleaned properly, and I found lots of cockroaches around the bed, especially on the sofa. It was extremely unhygienic. The price also felt very high for the service. If you’re travelling with small kids, I’d avoid this place.

I used to have a great impression of this place, but this visit changed that. I’d stayed here in 2017 and 2023, when the service was top notch. This time, even in a super deluxe room, half the lights didn’t work, the flush was broken and the geyser was very old. There was an Aquaguard in the room, but it seemed to be there just for show. The location is still so good, but the service and room upkeep are poor now. I wouldn’t recommend booking this hotel.
