Hotel Kanhaia Haveli

Kanhaia Haveli and Jashoda Mystic Haveli have the same owner and are managed by the same person. Mr Satish Heda was very cooperative and gave excellent service. We booked a standard room through booking.com. It was small, but good, with a private bathroom. When we asked about other options, Mr Satish offered us a larger room for an extra charge. Both rooms had hot water 24*7, and a kettle was available on request. An excellent haveli in a great location, with excellent service.

I booked through booking.com, but when I arrived, the hotel refused to let me stay and told me to go to a nearby property, saying it had the same owner. That place was different from the hotel in the pictures I’d booked. When I insisted on staying at the booked hotel, they told me to leave, so I had to find somewhere else. It also seemed to me that Indian and foreign tourists were being treated differently. I then spent a few more hours dealing with booking.com customer care before booking another hotel. The photos may not show where they actually let you stay. Very bad experience, avoid at any cost.

Ram ram and the staff were so welcoming and attentive during our lovely stay. This family run Haveli has lots of traditional character. It sits back from the lake, with beautiful views from the rooftop and a dependable restaurant that stays open all day. Thanks for a lovely stay!

The owner was very helpful, and the location is convenient. There’s a good range of rooms: the small, cheaper budget ones are OK, while the slightly more expensive options are much more comfortable. The rooftop restaurant has quite an extensive menu. 🙏
