Serene Aravali Resort

There’s a little mini zoo with a few ducks and rabbits, which is a nice spot for kids. We celebrated our anniversary at Serene Aravali Resort, Pushkar on 21st and 22nd October, and the team decorated our room and the pool for free, which made it feel extra special. The setting among the Aravali mountains is calm and scenic. We enjoyed the food, especially the Butter Chicken and Chai. Service was a bit slow, though the staff were polite and cooperative. I’d suggest taking a package with breakfast and dinner. A peaceful place for families.

The staff are good, but could use some professional guidance. I booked a luxury room, yet they kept serving refilled water even after I said I’d pay for water. The couches were dirty, breakfast was the same every day and had no taste, and the fountain water wasn’t clean either. The resort is in a beautiful place, so please improve the cleanliness. I work in hospitality too, and I’m asking you to address these things.

The receptionist and management staff were polite, but that couldn’t make up for how disappointing the stay was. Hygiene, pest control, and maintenance need serious attention. We had booked Deluxe and Luxury rooms. The Deluxe rooms we were shown had filthy bathrooms, including mouse droppings, and another room in the same category was dirty too. With no real alternative, we had to choose one. Inside, there was a lizard, and when staff came to remove it, we saw another one. The receptionist said pest control had been done, but what we saw suggested otherwise. It felt like the rooms had been shut for a long time and not properly maintained. Even basic things weren’t working normally, which made the stay uncomfortable. The hotel needs to improve its upkeep and hygiene standards. A very disappointing experience.

The rooms were like tents, clean, and had hot water. Nights get cold in winter, so bring warm clothes. Pushkar’s a lovely quaint town, but its markets are busy, and this place gives you some quiet, peace, and mountain views away from the daily bustle. On our last night, another guest partied noisily, with music that felt like it was right next to us. Still, I’d recommend the place.
