The traditional setting and folk performances gave the students a glimpse of Indian culture, while the games and other activities kept them engaged. The food was a highlight too: fresh, hygienic Rajasthani dishes with plenty of variety and flavor. We visited Chokar Dhani, Raipur, with students from the Girls Hostel at Academic World School, and the whole outing went smoothly. The staff were courteous, attentive, and especially supportive with a large group, helping everything feel safe and well managed. A memorable choice for school trips, group outings, and cultural exposure.

The food was the worst part. At ₹900, it was very poor in both quality and taste, and management should look into it. They charged the same full entry fee for my 6-year-old daughter based only on her height, which I found unreasonable. The package was said to include 20 Rajasthani activities, but they asked for extra money for almost every one, despite having collected full payment. There was also an Asian Paints company-organized program on the premises during my visit. I felt a corporate event like that should be at a separate venue, since it disturbed the experience for family visitors. Suruchi Hotel, Bilaspur, offers an excellent thali for ₹130 and understands value and customer satisfaction. I'd strongly suggest management visit there. I can't give zero stars, or I would. Very disappointing, and I'd ask people to avoid Chokar Dhani Raipur.

For a couple of hours with family or friends, Chokar Dhani is a nice way to pass the time. The attractions are simple and suitable for children, though the food is only sort of Rajasthani and tastes average. Adult and child entry prices differ. I think the fees should be lower, especially since they seem high during the holiday season.

We held my niece's wedding at Chokar Dhani on 15th & 16th November 2025, with a reception for about 900 guests and a sangeet. Guests came from Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, UAE, Jakarta, and other faraway places, and they all praised the food and their stay. The rooms were excellent, and the service throughout was outstanding. For both days, they arranged breakfast, lunch, high tea, dinner, and live tea and coffee counters, all of which were fantastic. It was a really good experience, and I recommend Chokar Dhani for large celebrations and memorable events.

The chaat was a real standout, fresh and full of flavor. I visited Chokhi Dhani with my family and we all had a fun evening, with colorful décor, traditional shows, and activities that kept both children and adults entertained. It felt like good value for the price. A nice place for a cultural family outing, though I hope the staff are more attentive next time.
