Hotel Emerald by OYO Rooms

There was a strong smell as soon as we entered the room. Water pooled in one spot in the bathroom, and there was also a leak. The power went out for a while, and the hotel had no backup. There was a TV but no cable connection. We paid, but didn't get the facilities we expected. A bad experience.

The birthday party was held in an AC hall, but the AC wasn't working and nobody told us. Only two staff members were assigned to bring and serve food, so guests were left waiting. A starter arrived when half the party was already over, and there was no responsible person managing things. I called the manager, who spoke to me poorly, and asked him to come to the hall, but he didn't. He did show up after the party ended to collect the remaining payment, without apologizing for the service. The washroom wasn't clean, and water and starter drinks were served in poor quality reusable plastic glasses. The service was very bad. I'd never recommend organizing a party here. This deserves zero (0000).

The club level amenities and club lounge were fantastic, and both breakfast and afternoon tea were much better than what I've had in other hotel lounges. The rooms were spacious, clean, and nice, and the staff were great. This is the best hotel I've stayed at in Raipur. I hope to keep staying at The Emerald when I travel there.

Food is good, though it's not cost friendly, and the bathrooms are exceptionally amazing. Service is quite good too. The staff are a bit lazy but cooperative. The rooms are small and clean, but noisy events in the lower hotel made it impossible to get a quiet night's sleep. It can be really cost friendly on special days if you book online on oyo, and if you love breakfast, this is for you. Check the bedsheet before sleeping, though. In my case it was nasty.
