River Bay Resort

The rooms are spacious, and the riverfront location is really nice. From a balcony room facing the river, you can see Godavari river. Some basics need attention: the balcony and bathroom doors don't shut properly, and there isn't much choice in the food. Aside from those issues, it was good.

The hotel sits beside River Godavri, in a calm, quiet setting. Bring something to cover up, as there are mosquitoes around. Breakfast was a good experience too. I'd stay for 2-3 days to enjoy the place.

Breakfast was a major letdown, with poor quality and hardly any options for the premium rates. The room also wasn't worth what I paid: it was unclean, poorly maintained, and nothing about the stay felt resort-level. I was charged ₹4,000, although the room is listed online for ₹2,700-₹3,300, which felt like a rip-off and lacked transparency. The whole stay felt like wasted money. Even basic budget places like OYO give better rooms and service. Think twice before booking; you pay more and get much less. I wouldn't recommend it.

The staff were mostly courteous, and the property has a great setting with private Godavari access. But upkeep was poor. My bathroom tap leaked, and everything in the room looked very old and deteriorated. I was told the property is about 25 years old, though repairs and renovations could still be done. I stayed one night and had planned to add two more if things went well, but I was disappointed and switched hotels. Breakfast choices are very limited, so you may want to skip it and save the money.
