Galaxy Hotel

I paid in advance for three nights, but after the first night my room was given to someone else while I was busy with work. My bags were still inside; I found out in the evening and they moved me to a different room. When I said I didn’t want to stay and asked them to keep the charge for one night and refund the rest, they refused. I had booked breakfast too, but they said it would cost another Rs. 400/- and didn’t provide breakfast on any of the three days. The service was poor, with no saver gel, shampoo, shaving kit, or dental kit.

The rooms weren’t very clean, and there was a cockroach in ours. The jet spray leaked, and the hotel is on the third floor of a commercial building. Staff are short-handed, there’s no doorboy to help with luggage in the early or late hours, and the key didn’t work, so I had to call reception every time I needed the door opened. There’s no breakfast if you check out early. You can find better options for less. Horrible stay, 1 out of 5, and I really wouldn’t recommend it.

For a budget stay, Hotel Galaxy has a convenient spot near public transport and local attractions, which made getting around easy. Staff were welcoming and ready to help, the rates were reasonable, and the rooms were kept reasonably clean. The restaurant’s breakfast was decent, though the selection was limited and could suit more dietary preferences. The rooms had basic, functional furnishings, but showed wear, and the bathroom fixtures and furniture needed maintenance. There’s a small gym and swimming pool, which were welcome, but both could use better upkeep and more space. Hotel is good, and the location is good too. It’s a decent option for budget travelers, though room upkeep, dining variety, and facilities need work.

The location worked well, with shops open late nearby. Our room was spacious, in good condition, and everything was working. Food was decent and service was good. Had a good stay.
