Iris Beacon Hotel, Rajkot

I stayed at Iris Beacon in Rajkot during the first two weeks of February 2026. The hotel is being renovated, but the rooms and amenities were excellent, and cleanliness was top class. The staff were cooperative, and the two people covering reception during the day and night were very helpful. We ate well at the restaurant. Mr. Rajeev Chaudhary was especially helpful, Gautam served us well, and Durgalal from laundry was helpful too.

The staff were nice, and Prince Tiwari was accommodating. The food was okay, not bad, but the room arrangements and amenities were disappointing. The room was very small, with little space for clothes or luggage, and there was rubble around from the renovation work. Water kept dripping from the flush and running across the toilet area, and there was a foul smell that wasn’t from the paint. The shower didn’t work, though I could manage that. The mattress was the worst part, a very uncomfortable, cheap spring type that seemed like it could injure someone. I struggled through one night. It may do for a single transit night, but I wasn’t happy with the space or facilities.

The breakfast had lots to choose from, and the staff were super friendly. I stayed for one night and had a great experience. The room was clean and comfortable, and I’d definitely come back. Special thanks to Mayur Darji.

The restaurant couldn’t be reached by lift, so the staff arranged to bring dinner and breakfast to my room. I use a wheelchair, and construction was still going on, leaving three steps before the ramp. Staff helped lift the wheelchair. The room category our agents had booked also had a step into the bathroom. Once they saw my difficulty, they immediately upgraded me to a higher-category room with level bathroom access. This hotel isn’t currently a good choice for wheelchair users, but the hospitality and service were top-notch. I’d recommend it for regular visitors.
