Hotel Queen Palace

It's an old hotel, but budget friendly, with lower prices than the competition. Service wasn't bad at all. They recently opened their own restaurant, though I didn't get to try it.

The building looks high class from outside, but the rooms felt more like a cheap lodge. They were very dirty, with hair all over, and the management was rude and unhelpful when we complained. We were a group of 14, and I couldn't sleep in room 206 because I started shivering there. They agreed to move us only after my husband and sister argued with them. Some rooms had a really off feeling too. It was the worst experience ever.

The hotel is understaffed, and even the common toilet by reception was in a very bad state. Our room and toilet weren't clean, and the bath towels looked like they'd been bought years ago. It seemed they were renting out rooms still under repair after taking payment. The building is large, but don't expect much respect or even a response when you ask questions. I'd avoid it and choose somewhere very nearby for a safer stay in Rameshwaram.

Really nice place for an overnight stay. Too good.
