We'd seen plenty of negative reviews and were unsure at first, but we're glad we chose this hotel for our Rameshwaram stay. Its location is excellent, under a 10 minute walk from Ramanathswamy temple, with easy access to the beach. Service was good and the stay pleasant. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet, which had delicious South and North Indian options. The dinner buffet had lots of choices too, but I thought it was expensive for the price. The rooms could use some improvement, especially the bathrooms, in both upgrades and cleanliness. The dormitory for hired drivers was cramped and inadequate. I'd suggest management match the buffet variety to its cost.

We got a nice family suite for four, and the food was good and vegetarian. The location was amazing, away from the busy main city and right in front of a pristine sea. They were seriously short on staff, but everyone still helped enough, and the guards helped us find autos. I gave it five stars to help counter the recent wave of bad reviews. Those reviews had made me worry about the rooms too, but our stay turned out great.

We booked five rooms for two nights at Seven Hills Resort, Rameshwaram. From check-in onward, the lack of hygiene and guest care was obvious. Every room had a foul smell coming from the bathroom drains, so strong that the rooms felt unlivable, especially at night. We complained on Day 1 and followed up, but nothing meaningful was done during our stay. The rooms had dirty cutlery, very unhygienic linen and pillows, and pillow covers with visible marks and stains, including lipstick. The mosquito problem was severe, and a 6-year-old child in our family was bitten repeatedly. The manager said they had only “3 All Out machines” for the whole resort. We politely asked twice for more repellents to be placed in our rooms the next day, but were ignored. Wi-Fi didn't work in multiple rooms. Repeated requests were brushed aside, and on 24th December night staff said they were “busy” and “short-staffed,” as if that excused not providing services we'd paid for. The manager was rude, dismissive, and arrogant in conversations, saying they “cannot do anything” instead of showing basic courtesy or taking responsibility. At checkout, after two nights of foul smells, unhygienic conditions, mosquito bites, and poor treatment, we asked for compensation. They offered only a 30% discount on food, nothing for the rooms or the distress and inconvenience. It felt like a mockery. The place is mismanaged and unhygienic, and the people running it don't seem to care about guests. Don't be fooled by the photos or ratings. Families, children, and elders should stay elsewhere. Your health, comfort, and peace of mind aren't worth risking. There are far better hotels in Rameshwaram.

We booked five rooms at Seven Hills for two nights, expecting to rest. Instead, the smell from the drains was rotten and overwhelming, filling the rooms all night. We complained calmly on day one, but nobody came to help. The hygiene was awful. There was stained cutlery in the rooms, and the pillows and covers had marks, including lipstick from other guests. It didn't look as if they'd been cleaned. Mosquitoes were everywhere, and one 6-year-old child was bitten repeatedly. The manager said there were only “Three All Outs” for the entire resort. We twice suggested buying more repellents and putting them in our rooms the next day, but were ignored. The Wi-Fi didn't work, and when we asked, staff said they were busy. On 24th December night they also said they were short-staffed, as if that made it okay to leave paid services unavailable. The manager was cold and arrogant, rude and dismissive, saying “We cannot do anything.” There was no apology or concern. At checkout, worn out after two nights of bad smells, poor hygiene, mosquito bites, and rude treatment, we asked for fair compensation. They offered just 30% off food, which felt insulting. Nothing for the rooms or the distress and inconvenience. Seven Hills Resort is a shiny facade with a rotten core, and guests should avoid it. If you care about your health, sleep, or dignity, keep your family away. Rameshwaram has better, kinder places to stay.
