Hotel The Raso

We stayed here for a marriage function, and the rooms were very clean and hygienic. They had kits for showering, shaving, and shoe polishing, among other things. The staff were polite and supportive, and the restaurant service and hospitality were awesome. Highly recommend for functions or travel in Ranchi.

We left without staying. I came with a friend, a man, because the hotel was near the airport and my college, but the receptionist responded improperly from the start and quoted the highest option, as if we couldn't afford it. He didn't know how to speak to or treat a customer, and seemed gender biased. These days, a woman and a man being friends is still treated as difficult, and society's mindset hasn't changed, even in hospitality. I didn't find hospitality at the entry gate. Don't visit if you're unmarried and of opposite genders.

It's near the airport, and the food is good, so it's fine for eating. The rooms are just okay and could be better. The minibar is very expensive, way beyond the MRP. Overall, not a comfortable place to stay.

The basil pasta and tandoori platter were delicious. Service and taste were both great, and I had a wonderful experience. I'll visit again! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
