The owners, uncle and aunty, were warm and humble, and made me feel like part of the family. They also prepared fresh, delicious breakfast with a lot of care. The house is clean and peaceful, surrounded by fresh air and a beautiful mountain view. Watching the sunrise there was stunning and unforgettable. It's a comforting place to relax close to nature, and I'd gladly visit again.

The owner behaved arrogantly, and breakfast was below average for the price. She also didn't have the keys when we arrived. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

The rooms were very clean, and both the staff and homestay owner were friendly. Honestly, it was an excellent homestay. I'd say go for it.

We ended up at Barve home stay at 10 pm on a weekend, after every hotel in Ratnagiri was full and we'd spent the night searching for somewhere to stay. It cost 1300rs for the night, and the rooms were just okay. The place is on the outskirts of Ratnagiri, and the drive there was terrifying. For 10kms there wasn't a single house or street lamp, just the sound of crickets. I was literally about to cry. They didn't provide anything complimentary, not even a water bottle or breakfast. I couldn't sleep well either, because rainwater dripping on the roof by the window made a lot of noise.

It's very good for a family stay. You can ask for snacks, but they're very expensive and only average in taste.
