Rejoice Holiday Home

This is a simple, quiet property near Revdanda beach with six rooms in total. We stayed for two nights after Diwali. All the rooms are non-AC, with a TV and hot water in the washroom for limited hours, and they were clean. The home-cooked food was the best part, especially the chicken. Adwait, the owner, and one of his partners take care of things, as they’ve only just started this setup. Having drinks outside the room, eating delicious chicken, and looking out at palm trees all around was a great feeling. You really don’t need AC in the mornings or evenings. A very good experience overall.

The food Adwait made for dinner and breakfast was really tasty, and he was kind and cooperative with us. The place itself is quiet, with nice surroundings, and the rooms are spacious enough and very clean. We had a very pleasant stay, and it works well for families or friends.

The food was the best part for me. Both veg and non-veg dinner were delicious, the breakfast was fantastic and freshly served, and the tea and coffee were great too. They also took care of all the personal recommendations we made. Mr. Advait was attentive and easy to reach, either in person or by phone, and the accommodation and meals were reasonably priced. The beach is about a 2 km walk, and the surroundings are quiet and peaceful. It’s a little away from Alibaug, but you can take an auto to Revdanda beach near the Alibaug ST stand and get down at Bhat aali. Since it’s so calm, you can’t make much noise. We had a pleasant stay, though you shouldn’t expect luxury accommodation.

I booked after seeing the online photos, but the guest house looks nothing like them in person. The door wouldn’t lock, so I had to call the manager whenever I needed it locked or unlocked, and there was clearly no maintenance. There was hardly any electricity. Even when the generator was running, we couldn’t use the AC despite paying for an AC room. The rooms also had poor lighting, the shower didn’t work, water pressure was very low, and the fittings weren’t proper. No one came to clean the room, and there was no proper service. It felt more like a dharamshala. You have to tell them before 5 pm if you want dinner, as they don’t have anything ready. I’d suggest everyone avoid this so-called home stay, holiday home, or dharamshala.
