Hotel Basera felt like a trap. The staff were rude and treated us as if we were trespassing, with no basic courtesy. The room had peeling paint, broken furniture, a terrible smell, and no ventilation. There was no water, toiletries, or towel, and dust was about the only extra. When we tried to use the AC, they guilt-tripped us, saying, "Bill aata hai madam/sir, AC mat chalao." We were given a room but made to feel like we should just leave our bags and go. We tried to extend by a few hours and the price doubled. Rooms I thought were worth Rs. 500 were being sold for Rs. 3000+. I’ve stayed in better rooms in train waiting halls. I’d only stay here if I wanted a horror story, humiliation, and a waste of money. Never again.

Restaurants like rajasthani and saket are nearby and serve mouthwatering food. The hotel is also close to triveni ghat, with transport easy to find. Staff were cooperative and the stay was comfortable, with a family feel. Don’t expect luxury, but it’s a comfortable, affordable place to stay.

It’s a nice spot near Triveni ghat, but the hotel is a little expensive and the staff aren’t supportive. The place is fine, just don’t expect luxurious rooms.

The staff helped us find food and amenities, and the room was spacious and clean. It was a great place to stay. I’ll book again when I’m back in Rishikesh.
