Hotel Madhuvan Inn By OYO Rooms

I wouldn’t choose this for a comfortable stay, and I’m not sure why it has a 4+ rating. The room had no window or proper ventilation, and there was a very bad smell that didn’t clear even with the AC on. It also wasn’t cleaned properly, and cleanliness was very poor.

We’re currently in Uttarakhand, staying in Rishikesh, and have had a wonderful stay at Madhuvan Inn. The area is beautiful, with food stalls and fruit markets nearby, which is very convenient. We came from Gujarat on a bike ride with friends. The rooms are very clean and well maintained, and the receptionist brother was polite, kind, and extremely helpful. He arranged an early check-in, which we really appreciated. I highly recommend Madhuvan Inn to anyone planning a Rishikesh stay.

The room was dirty and poorly maintained, with visible marks and stains on the walls, unclean wardrobe and corners, and insects crawling around, even on the floor. It was genuinely uncomfortable. The hygiene was unacceptable for paid accommodation, and the online photos didn’t reflect the actual room condition. Management and staff made matters worse. Most rooms were empty, but they refused early check-in unless I paid almost double the room price for just 2-3 hours. It felt like an attempt to exploit guests rather than help. There was no empathy or professionalism, and no effort to make the stay pleasant. This was one of my worst hotel stays. For travelers who care about cleanliness, basic hospitality, and fair pricing, this hotel isn’t worth it. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere and am posting this so other travelers don’t have to go through the same experience.

Good value for money for a short stay. This is a great budget 24-hour hotel, with clean, comfortable rooms, friendly and helpful staff, and basic amenities provided.
