There was nobody available to help at first. Eventually someone showed up and called another person, who said we had to send our IDs before they would tell us whether we could get rooms.

Shivika lake Resort Ranakpur is tucked among the mountains and feels quiet and peaceful. The home-cooked meals were lovely. In the morning, you can sip tea or coffee while birds chirp all around, a nice chance to enjoy nature during a busy life.

We spent two nights in a room surrounded by greenery, with birds singing through the day. The property belongs to a local family, and they’re really nice hosts. Mrs. Shivika is lovely to talk with. Service can be a little slow, but that’s fine if you’re happy to take it easy. There’s a wide lawn for cricket or other games, and the restaurant has a vintage feel. The menu is limited, though the food was yummy and tasted home-cooked. Would love to come back sometime.

Everything was good once we arrived, but there was nobody at the office when we got there. I think it may have been because of New Year.

The garden was well kept, the rooms were good, and the setting feels close to nature. Staff were so nice and cooperative, and the food was fresh and good. Our room was attached to the swimming pool. Had a good experience, do visit.
