I stayed on 14-15 Feb 2026 in room 208. There are lots of shops nearby, and it's easy to get around from this location close to Laxmi talkies chowk. The room was spacious and clean, with a kettle, tea bags, coffee, and bathroom toiletries. The staff were friendly and cooperative. I didn't eat there, so can't comment on meal service, but the front desk and housekeeping were prompt.

The room was poorly kept, dirty, and had a strong smoky smell that made the stay uncomfortable. These old, badly maintained rooms left me disappointed with the cleanliness and upkeep. I wouldn't book this hotel again.

The food is excellent and the location is right in the middle of the city, but the rooms are only okay. There's no parking, the AC doesn't work at all, and the hotel is in very bad condition. It needs a complete renovation.

It's a popular spot in Sambalpur for snacks, lunch, and dinner. I like the good-quality masala dosas, idli, and sambhar vada. The lodging is good too and popular with travellers.

The menu is limited to vegetarian food now, which could be restrictive for guests wanting more dining choices. I stayed at Hotel Sheela Tower for a night recently, about 10 years after my previous visit, when it was considered one of the town's best hotels. It has declined a lot since then and now seems in poor condition. Room upkeep wasn't up to the mark, and the constant loud noise from the window air conditioner kept disturbing my sleep all night. It needs serious renovation and maintenance to live up to its old standards.
