Hotel Sundari by OYO Rooms

The room was in terrible condition, and the bedsheet was really, really dirty. Mosquitoes were everywhere all night. We complained, but nobody responded.

Really nice and clean place. The room attendant was gentle and calm.

A useless hotel and a very bad experience. They're irresponsible, nobody at reception, and they wouldn't even pick up the phone. If you're planning a trip to Guwahati, don't stay here.

I cancelled and went back to Paltan bazaar, where I booked Onyx Garden near the railway station. It cost me 2K, and I booked it genuinely, not as a promotion. If you go to this property and then return to Paltan bazaar, you'll spend another 200-300 on a taxi anyway. I'd avoid this place, or any property OYO serves without seeing it in person. Hotel O Noonmati is an old building on the outskirts of Guwahati Town, 6 km from Paltan bazaar. The lobby is on the first floor, badly lit, and looks like an apartment guard room. I got a room on the third floor. The OYO app photos are heavily edited by the marketing team, so don't be taken in by them. The wall paint was poor, two big cockroaches came out as soon as I entered, and the room smelled and had very little light. I couldn't bring myself to go into the washroom. I came back to OYO after seeing its new Company serviced OYO offering, but this broke my trust. You lost a customer of seven years, and you'll get bad word of mouth from me. Five or six years ago OYO was a good platform with lots of options. Now there are very few properties, and the marketing team edits the room photos to look like heaven, even when the place barely qualifies as a hotel.
