The villa was huge and well maintained, and the food was tasty. Its location overlooking Pawna lake gets full marks from me. The surroundings were peaceful and serene, with a breathtaking view. I’d definitely love to visit again.

We came as a group of 8, around 16 including the children, and had a great stay. The villa feels secure and is well guarded. The huge lawn looks out over the pawna lake, and the views are lovely. The pool was well maintained too. The rooms are beautifully made, with striking interiors and lots of woodwork, and their upkeep deserves praise. The staff were welcoming and very cooperative. The chef did a great job, and the food quality and preparation were excellent. Highly recommended.

We had a rotten experience with the booking, even though the villa itself is a great place. I wouldn’t recommend the property or the host. Please double-check a reservation before travelling, since ours turned into a nightmare. We needed the entire villa for a Rakhi family function, with relatives travelling from several countries. We called the villa directly and were told it was available, but that they would accept a booking through booking.com. We booked there and got an immediate confirmation. After making travel plans, we heard nothing until we called the villa, only to be told that it had already been booked on make mytrip. When we asked whether that booking was made before or after ours, they refused to say, citing “security” reasons. It felt almost like the place went to the highest bidder instead of the first booking. We also asked why booking.com hadn’t informed us of the cancellation. The answer was, “of course they won't! because they don't want to lose the commission!” Is that how booking.com handles cancelled bookings, leaving customers disappointed so it doesn’t lose commission? The owners and caretakers were rude, gave wrong information and handled the booking very unprofessionally. I wouldn’t expect courtesy from the management, especially Subodh, the host who is highly recommended on makemytrip. Instead of understanding that we were trying to create a memorable family occasion and paying quite a bit for one night, speaking to Subodh was a nightmare. We had to be curt just to get him to listen. Dear Subodh, insincere apologies and high-handed behaviour don’t help. Solutions and patience do. I’m sorry I tried to reason with you and raised my voice, but I believe I had justifiable grounds. I want to warn fellow travellers to take precautions when dealing with this property. I was extremely disappointed and wouldn’t recommend the place or the host. See the photos, they speak for themselves.

The villa has become one of my preferred hangouts when I want a peaceful, relaxed time with family or friends. The view is awesome, the whole place is spacious, and there are several sitting areas, which is a real bonus. Rooms were clean and well appointed. I’ve been twice, once for a big birthday party and once with a smaller, more intimate group. Both stays were amazing. Subodh treats you like family and serves delicious homestyle food.
