The camp isn’t as close to the lake as many photos make it look. You can’t see the lake from your camp, though it’s a 200m walk. The grounds can also be muddy, so get your tent cleaned before going in. It’s costly, about double the price of other camps, dinner isn’t included, and you’ll need to spend extra. Still, dinner tasted great. For a ground tent without travel, the price is 2800-3500 per person. Timings are 3.00 pm to 11 am. There’s a lot to like at Moonstone Camp. It’s brightly lit in the evening, the live music makes the place vibrant, and the singer was great. Music is only on Saturday, so plan around that. The bonfire setup is superb, better than at other campsites I’ve been to. There are good indoor and outdoor games, and high tea and breakfast were delicious and good quality. Since it’s a bit expensive, it tends to have families, so it feels suitable for visiting with family or friends. My trip was Vashi-Lohagad fort-Green Valley food restaurant-Moonstone Camp-Vashu, starting Saturday morning at 7 and reaching by 3pm on Sunday. Lohagad fort is nearby, an easy tek and a beautiful fort of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Other forts are around too, but those involve heavy treks.

It takes some effort to get here, but the stay makes up for that as soon as you arrive. The place is tucked among lush green trees, very close to the lake, and the stay options are well managed. Facilities were clean and the food was great. Definitely recommended.

I’m really fond of this place’s laid-back vibe. There’s a lovely sunset trail, a lakeside walk, and games to enjoy. In the evenings they have live bands and movie sessions, with a bonfire at night. Don’t miss the mouthwatering à la carte food. It makes for a cozy stay with good food and a great atmosphere.

The people running the campsite were incredibly helpful, even sorting out our needs at 3 AM. We also got to meet Moonstone Hammock’s co-founders, who made us feel welcome and were great company. We came hoping for a quiet, relaxed weekend and got that, along with good conversations and a really fun trip. We stayed in a Hunter's Nest, one of the best camping accommodations we’ve seen. It was cute, cozy, and comfortable. Buddha's Cafe had amazing food and lots of board games. The washrooms were very clean, and Covid-19 protocols were followed carefully. We happened to catch the season’s first live band, which made the trip even better. The campsite has a unique, beautiful vibe, and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a fun experience.
