Cloud 9 Hills Resort

The hotel has a lovely view, a shared pool, a game zone and a small kids’ playground. The food was good, but there aren’t good places to eat nearby, so you’ll need to order from Cloud9. Lonavala market is about 18 km away, and Tiger Point is around 10 minutes away. Water bottles are provided, as expected. We didn’t get a welcome drink or a dental kit with toothpaste and a brush. When I asked, they said they only provide those if requested, which I don’t think is right. We also struggled for over an hour to get hot water, even after reporting the problem. Water pressure into the bathtub is very low, so it takes about 35-40 minutes to fill. Reception doesn’t always answer the phone, sometimes only after the second or third try. Service was fine overall.

The location is good, and the rooms are clean and well kept inside. From the outside, though, they look old and poorly maintained. It’s a bit costly. The restaurant is fully vegetarian and has good variety, but some dishes cost about twice what they would at a regular restaurant. Breakfast choices are limited, with fruit, puri bhaji, uthapam, bread and butter, tea and coffee. It could be better.

Cloud 9 Hill Resort is a lovely, peaceful weekend escape near Lonavala, and I’d recommend it for couples, families or groups. Greenery and hill views surround the property, and the pool and outdoor spaces are clean and scenic, great for relaxing or taking photos. The rooms were spacious, clean and well maintained, with all the essentials. Check-in was quick, and the staff were polite and helpful throughout, making everything easy and comfortable. We also enjoyed the delicious food and generous portions, and the dining area had a nice atmosphere. It really felt like being on cloud nine.

The infinity pool overlooking the valley was my favorite spot to unwind. Cloud9 Hill Resort has a calm, uncrowded feel, and it’s a good choice for couples or families, including those travelling with kids. It works best for a quiet break focused on nature and taking in the views, rather than a packed itinerary. The resort sits above Lonavala, with beautiful valley views, especially at sunrise and sunset. We had misty mornings, cool breezes and greenery all around. The spacious, clean rooms are designed to make the most of the scenery, and waking up to clouds drifting past the window was lovely. The food was fresh, warm and satisfying, with a good selection of Indian dishes. Nothing fancy, just right for a relaxed stay.
