The food tasted good, but the stay was nowhere near satisfactory. We were about 50 people on a business trip, with lunch, dinner, and breakfast included, and the hotel struggled to handle the group at every stage, starting at check-in. At buffet times, many dishes weren't ready or available. Staff often just told us an item was out of order and to speak to management downstairs. They were rude and argumentative, with little respect for guests. We were there for less than 21 hours, and the experience was still very poor.

On 4th March, we went to Hotel Jail Malhar Restaurant for dinner. The management's attitude felt careless and unprofessional, and the drinks were disappointing. Our first two Long Island Iced Teas were missing key ingredients or had the proportions wrong, so they seemed incomplete. After we asked for the third LIT to be made in front of us, it came out properly. It left me feeling that customers may not get a proper drink unless they challenge it. I wouldn't recommend the restaurant, and would be cautious about visiting.

Service took a long time, and the food is expensive. My half portion of Chicken Maratha cost 535/-, yet there were only four pieces in the dish. The quantity felt very small for the price.

The food itself was fine, but I wasn't impressed with either the service or the meal. The waiters came across as rude, and service was poor. We ordered chicken lapeta, described as an Aagri dish, but it tasted more like Punjabi cooking. The pieces were mostly bone, with hardly any meat. They also charged ₹30 for a water bottle marked MRP ₹18, saying that was their price because of the restaurant setup.

I booked a room for a company guest through Agoda for ₹1700 and got an email confirmation, but the hotel refused to honor it at check-in. Staff said they had “no tie-up with Agoda.” That caused serious trouble for our guest and embarrassment for our company. If the hotel has no tie-up, why is it listed and taking Agoda bookings? The whole situation felt negligent and badly managed, with no accountability or respect for customers. I strongly advise people to avoid this hotel if they care about their time and reputation.
