Effotel By Sayaji Sangli

The rooms at Effotel Sayaji, Sangli have a premium look, and the location on Sangli–Miraj Road works well for business travel, family functions, and events. The staff were polite and willing to help. But after spending a full week there, I found the hotel far from ready to deliver a dependable luxury stay. It’s a new property, so some early issues are understandable, but the weak systems, uneven service, and lack of training need attention from management before the hotel can live up to its positioning. Dinner was a brighter spot. The food was quite good, and restaurant service was handled efficiently and professionally. Breakfast was a real letdown, despite a wide selection of vegetarian dishes. The sambhar was stale and smelled bad on one occasion, clearly not fit to serve, and the sandwiches were hard and stale too. It made me wonder whether anyone in the kitchen tastes the food before it goes out. Room service was almost nonexistent at times. I ordered a simple tea once and waited over an hour. Housekeeping and cleaning were also inconsistent and below what I’d expect at a hotel calling itself luxury. I also found a large cracked window pane in my room, and the management seemed unaware of it. It’s hard to see how such an obvious maintenance problem escaped notice. That points to inadequate inspection and supervision. The staff may be courteous, but they don’t seem sufficiently trained, and good intentions can’t make up for poor execution. At present, the place gives the impression of having opened before it was ready. Effotel Sayaji, Sangli still has a long way to go before it can genuinely call itself a luxury hotel.

Good food and good service from pinky. A good experience all around.

It’s a new hotel with good facilities. The gym is excellent, and it also has a swimming pool, which is quite rare for a hotel in Sangli.

The hotel has a really peaceful, romantic view, and the food was delicious. pinky provided amazing food service.
