The venue itself is really nice, which makes what happened there especially frustrating. We were photographing a sangeet and had our AD200 set up in front of the camera gear. It disappeared after the shoot. When we eventually got to review the footage that night, we found the camera system had been switched off, and the AD200 was gone. We believe it was stolen. Getting access took hours. The manager kept pushing us to come back later, first in the afternoon, then after the wedding, then after 7 PM when another manager was meant to arrive. He left after 7, and when we finally checked, the cameras were off. When we asked him to look at the CCTV, he spoke rudely, saying the cameras were for the venue, not our belongings, and asking whether he was supposed to manage our equipment too. Photographers, keep your gear secure when working here. Someone’s hard-earned equipment can be stolen and sold cheaply, and the owner may not know what’s going on behind the scenes. People like this damage the venue’s reputation.
