Delight Inn By OYO Rooms

I had a terrible one-night stay, and the staff showed no sense of responsibility for service. The hotel is in a residential area, but the amenities were awful. There was no bathroom water, and it took half an hour for the flush tank to refill. The health faucet sprayed like a sprinkler. The AC remote didn’t work, the phone was out of order, and the water heater held only two litres, so you had to keep waiting for hot water.

The room was good and the washroom was very clean, though the pillows were so soft they sank completely under your head. Room service wasn’t good, and the food at the hotel cost too much. The complimentary breakfast was limited to idli and wada, with no one asking guests what they wanted. The room rate also keeps changing from low to high, which is a downside. Apart from that, it’s a decent place for a good sleep.

I arrived after paying in full, only to find there were no rooms available. The front desk person was helpful and gave me several numbers to try for another place. But the MakeMyTrip and OYO call center staff were awful. They wouldn’t help until I called at least five times and finally reached someone sensible. I was charged an exorbitant amount to change hotels even though it wasn’t my fault. In the end I had to cancel the booking, and I’m still waiting for my refund. Not recommended.

Even if you get an attractive offer or the lowest OYO rate, don’t book here. They simply refuse to honor the booking and tell you to contact OYO, whose staff just apologize. The hotel should cancel beforehand if it won’t accept that price, but it waits until you arrive. Terrible management from both OYO and the hotel.
