SPOT ON 74966 Shree Amardeep Hotel

Mosquitoes were everywhere, and the lack of cleanliness made the room service bad too. I left and changed locations after just one day. There are plenty of other budget hotels around. This one costs a little less, but paying a bit more elsewhere could get you a much better stay. It was the worst hotel experience I've had.

The bed bugs were the main reason I gave this place one star. I woke up with my hand itching badly, went back to sleep thinking it might be mosquitoes, then woke up itching again and realized the bed had bugs. The pillows were hard and uncomfortable too. The room itself was large, and the AC worked very well. The fan was fine, and the location near the main road was its best feature. The bathroom was poor, though, and some taps had covers that made them unusable. I didn't like the door locks. From inside, there was only an upper bolt. When leaving, you had to attach a lock and carry the key with you. I managed to stay a couple of days, but couldn't take it anymore. I hope the staff fix these problems.

As a solo traveler, I didn't have a good stay. The AC wasn't working and the lock was broken. OYO customer care moved me here after the hotel I'd originally booked turned out to be horrible. They had no other property available, so I had to stay here.

This place seems mainly geared toward traders from Gujarat who visit the cloth merchants around General bazar. The North Indian food tastes good, even under the new management, and they serve Chaas in summer. It's good value and within budget. The restaurant is next to a Masjid. There is no car parking or wheelchair access, and you have to climb three steps to reach the restaurant and the first-floor toilets and rooms.
