Aalankrita Resort and Convention

We spent three nights here in Feb 26 for a wedding, and the stay was memorable. There are lots of places to hang out around the resort, plus a small waterpark with 5-6 slides and a spa. We kept finding more antique pieces, interesting details and selfie spots to explore. The grounds and lawns are kept in great shape, and the resort is thoughtfully laid out with staff around to maintain it. The pool area and its changing rooms were clean and well looked after. Our rooms and toilets were tidy, with the needed accessories, fresh linen and towels. The food was very authentic. Overall, a very good experience.

The pool was the biggest letdown. I expected more, but the water was freezing, there was no temperature control, and the indoor location had poor ventilation and no sunlight. I was told it was meant for kids, but it was too cold for them to get in, and even we adults couldn't use it. For a day outing, I wouldn't say it's worth it. I booked a studio cottage for my family of three, and the room amenities were top notch. The resort is lovely and surrounded by nature. The indoor and outdoor game areas are small, which suited our little family, though I wouldn't recommend them for a larger group. If you're planning a day outing, it's a poor choice. Studio bookings came with as many coupons as I needed for the indoor and outdoor areas and the pool. But if you leave for a break, you can't get back in with the same coupon. Breakfast was decent, though lacking in taste. You could manage a few items. Lunch and dinner at the resort restaurant were expensive, and the food didn't justify the price. It tasted like hospital food. I ordered double ka meetha for about 250 rs, but got one piece of fried bread with syrup, a few bits of dry fruit and around 5 ml of cream. I had to ask for room service on the first day before housekeeping came. They provided cups and glasses in the room, but the used cups weren't replaced. A housekeeper poured chemical into the toilet seat, then turned around and washed the cups in the basin we use for handwashing, right beside the Western toilet. She put them back in the room. When I asked several times for fresh cups, she said the rules didn't allow it. Another housekeeper eventually came to change them after seeing me ask for a pair. Housekeeping had also taken the glasses away the previous night to wash them. I told them I had another night booked and needed glasses for my daughter, but was told they couldn't bring any because someone had taken them by mistake. I also saw a housekeeper wipe the room floor with the towels from our room, which was very disappointing. They did offer transport around the resort, with staff who showed us around and guided us in their van.

We had a wedding here, and the event planning and service from management were fabulous. Room assignments for the guests went smoothly, and the receptionist was polite and helpful. The food was exceptionally good, both for the event and at the regular restaurant. The greenery is well cared for, and the staff were great. A lovely resort for a family event, some quiet time, or lunch or dinner.

The double pool villa was a relaxing place to stay, with lush green views, helpful people around and quick, polite service. Breakfast, lunch and dinner all tasted good. It was Women's Day when we arrived, and we received complimentary chocolate fudge and wishes. I especially want to mention itisree, who served us breakfast and dinner with a sweet smile. They even ask for feedback at the breakfast table, which was a nice touch.
