Shangarh Kothi

Suchita, we’re still holding on to the lovely memories from our two days at your cozy Shangarh Kothi in October 2025. Your personal attention to all the little things that made us comfortable is what I’ll remember most. We spent time together like family, and truly felt at home away from home. The location and interiors were wonderful, the personal service was excellent, and the food was served with so much care. Special regards to Caretaker cum cook Luck and family. Luck made delicious food and was always ready to help. We’ve already been thinking about coming back for a longer stay, and I’m sure we’ll visit again soon. Wishing you all the best with the new home you’re building next to the existing one. With the standard of your service, I’m sure you’ll keep growing. I’m recommending your homestay to all my friends. The mountain views from Shangarh Kothi are breathtaking, and the food is good. Suchi is a lovely host who goes out of her way to make guests feel at home. A great place to stay in Shangarh.

Our 18-month-old daughter had a wonderful time outside in nature and playing with their daughter Naira, who has so much energy and warmth for her guests. Vikas, who loves trekking, can point you toward the best hikes around Shangarh and may even go along. We stayed for two weeks, and Shangarh Kothi really did feel like a home away from home. Vikas and Suchi were lovely hosts, and the staff made delicious home-cooked food. They went out of their way to meet our needs, even the small ones. The rooms were sparkling clean, there was plenty of space to relax, and mountain views opened up from every corner. It had everything we needed as a family with a little kid in the mountains. We arrived as guests and hope we left as friends. We’ll definitely stay here again when we return to Shangarh.

We spent a week here, away from the busy tourist stays but still close to the meadow and waterfall. There’s a lovely hut for sitting and relaxing, and the wooden rooms are nicely done with modern furnishings. The hosts were accommodating and wanted to make sure we had a good stay. We also tried their Cafe Dome, where the cook made really good homemade food.
