Best Holiday Inn

We stayed for one night and found the manager and staff very polite. The location is peaceful, about 3km from Police Bazar. The rooms were nice for the price.

The rooms were big, clean, and well maintained, and the room service was good. The food was very good too. It’s in a quiet area with great views, and seems good for families or friends. There’s a steep slope on one route to the hotel, so drivers should be careful. The other way seems normal.

The rooms were good, with hot water, a heater, and a kettle already provided. The buffet breakfast is a plus, and it starts at 7:30 am. The main problem was getting to the hotel in a non-Meghalaya vehicle. A NO ENTRY board blocks the simple route, so we had to take a longer, more complicated way each time. When we called the number on Google, the hotel wouldn't send a local person to meet us near that board. After we got there and complained at reception, they said to call the reception number so they could send someone from the hotel. Make sure you get that number. That's the only flaw. Everything else was perfect.

The receptionist handling bookings was rude during our conversation. When trees were being cut and the road was blocked, he knew the roads were being cleared but still wasn’t willing to arrange a vehicle to get us to the main road.
