Hotel Centre Point

We had a wonderful time as a family, and I enjoyed all three days. Room service was top notch, with requests handled very quickly. The restaurant food was good but expensive. I skipped breakfast there because there were plenty of cafes nearby. I booked two standard rooms for our family of six for three nights, and got rooms next to each other. The location was awesome, right at Police Bazar, with cafes, good restaurants, and the market close by. Since we visited around new year, the whole market was decorated. There’s a good parking area for pick up and drop off, and a taxi stand next to the hotel. The hotel building is shared between two parts, New and Old. Shillong address is the new one, and center point is in the old building where I booked. The reception was good and had a waiting area. Our rooms were decent, clean, and big, with clean bathrooms, though they weren’t modern. Sunlight came in from about 0530 AM, which felt nice, but there were no sunblock curtains or roller windows. That could be a problem for people who wake up late. We could also hear the traffic outside, so the hotel should work on sound proofing. Bathrooms had basic toiletries. I’d stay again if management addressed the sun blockers and sound proofing.

The rooms were satisfactory, though they could be bigger, and I was surprised there was no air conditioning. The restaurant food was pretty decent, but a bit expensive for me. The staff were very professional. If you're in Shillong for business, it’s hard to find a better location. The downside is being in the busiest area, with noise and traffic all day and late into the night.

The food was absolutely delicious, and every dish seemed prepared just right. Service was top class, warm, professional, and attentive. The ambience throughout the hotel felt luxurious, comfortable, and relaxing. A delightful choice for quality hospitality and a memorable experience.

You can walk to the taxi stand in about two minutes, and the main market has plenty of shops and restaurants within easy reach. The rooms are spacious, breakfast is good, and the staff are polite and helpful. Hot water and Wi-Fi were available whenever needed. A great spot to stay in Shillong.
