For a short, budget-friendly trip of two or three days, this is a good place to stay. Police Bazar is walkable, and you get a nice city view. The food was a highlight: the soupy noodles and thick gravy noodles are worth trying, and they also make comfort food to order based on your preference. Lunch and dinner are available even on Sundays. There’s no lift, so you have to use the stairs, though staff bring the luggage up to your room. Hot water was super hot around the clock, which was especially welcome in the chilly winter. Heaters are free on request, but they sometimes run out. When that happens, staff try to provide extra blankets.

The food was the one bright spot. It was genuinely tasty and very good quality. The rest of the stay was extremely disappointing, even though I had booked for just one day. Our deluxe booking got us corner room No. 204, which didn’t feel deluxe at all. It was cramped, the TV didn’t work, and thin curtains did little to block the cold air coming through the window, so it was hard to sleep. There’s no elevator, either. The restaurant manager was very rude. I’d asked for paratha for brunch around 11:00 a.m., but it wasn’t arranged then. Instead, I was served paratha at 9:30 a.m., which wasn’t what I’d requested.

We stayed for three days from April 14 onward and really enjoyed the sightseeing. The manager was especially helpful and arranged a vehicle at a very reasonable price. Both the driver and vehicle were nice. The restaurant served delicious, hygienic meals. I’m especially thankful to the manager for helping make our trip so enjoyable. Adv Kavita Guha Roy, Siliguri

The staff were super helpful, and the rooms were clean with a comfortable bed. There were plenty of restaurants nearby, and the location was great, close to the metro. I stayed here recently and found it a solid four-star experience. I’d definitely come back.

Parking a four-wheeler was a problem, but everything else was superb. Our standard room was small but nice and had a balcony, and the buffet breakfast they provided was very good. It’s a nice stay in a good location.
