I travel for rest and peace, but there was construction going on above my head from 9 am to 6 pm. They’re building a whole new floor on top of the existing hotel. Even though all the rooms were empty, they put me directly below the noisiest work area. I paid 1064 rps per night and got no apology or sign that they felt bad about it. They seem more interested in adding rooms and making money than looking after current guests. It’s shameful to keep a hotel running during construction.
The rooms were cozy, clean, and sanitized, with DTH for entertainment, and the basic amenities were there. There’s open WiFi, a green, clean setting, and a parking lot for guests’ vehicles. I’d give this property 4.5/5.
The hotel staff were extremely polite and helpful, but OYO’s support was awful. The guest house looked different from the pictures, and what we got was a different product. We were made to call some numbers, and the OYO management service deserves zero. They took the full payment and wouldn’t refund the cancelled rooms. I ended up completely lost.
The kitchen served tasty food at reasonable prices, and cleanliness gets 10/10 from me. Laplang is a quiet neighborhood, about a kilometer or so past Rynjah point. It’s a nice choice if you want a break from the busy areas around Police Bazaar or Laitumkrah. The staff were very friendly and well mannered.
They charge 300 for their car, and the rooms are dirty with showers that don’t work. The worst part is that they stopped serving water after 10 PM, so if you need water, it’s impossible to get any. Oyo nice service by the way.
