The Loft Executive Inn

I had to cancel because of a serious, unexpected personal emergency. When I contacted the hotel, there was no effort to hear me out or work with me. The staff came across as cold and arrogant, and the senior management was just as rude and robotic. They wouldn’t refund even one rupee, citing policy without showing basic courtesy or empathy. What upset me most was the complete lack of sympathy, flexibility, help, respect, or responsibility toward a guest. This was a miserable and humiliating experience, and I’m sharing it so others can avoid going through the same thing. The way they handled an emergency makes me wonder how they treat people during a stay. To me, this reflects poor staff training, a lack of empathy from senior staff, and unprofessional management. There are plenty of other hotels with better service and values. I’d avoid this one.

John from the restaurant staff made us feel right at home. He was friendly and honest, and his approach to hospitality is a big reason we’d like to return. The two housekeeping gentlemen were also lovely and kept everything in perfect shape. We had a wonderful two-day stay at the Loft Executive Inn, Shillong. The food was delicious, and the staff responded quickly whenever we called for help. We really appreciated the hospitality and service.

We were a family of four and loved our stay. The rooms were clean, the food was good, and the atmosphere was lovely, especially around the restaurant with all its plants. Mr Banjop made check-in easy even though we arrived very late at night. Everyone was helpful.

The balcony was a highlight, with a great view, a comfortable seating arrangement, and heating in the room. Our rooms were upgraded with help from the receptionists Bandjob and Daiya, who also made check-in easy. The rooms were clean and spacious, and there’s proper car parking plus a dorm room for drivers. I’d happily come back.
