It's easy to walk to police bazar from here, but the location also gets you away from its chaos. The rooms were spacious and clean, with a rustic feel, and the staff were very courteous. When I mentioned that we were vegetarian, they made us a lovely breakfast of Aloo chop fry, toast, and juice, even though we'd only asked for bread and jam. I really appreciated that kindness and hospitality.
Both rooms had a heavily stinking smell. My friend and I complained, and when I called the staff, they admitted the rooms smelled badly. Still, they didn't help or move us, saying all the rooms were the same. They also refused to give us the manager's or owner's number. A complete waste of money that ruined our holiday. Worst experience of our lives.
The terrace had a beautiful view, and the rooms and halls were very aesthetic. Our room was clean and neat, and the food tasted homemade. The ambience was good and the service was nice too.
I booked a mountain view room for two days, from the 12th to the 14th Match, through Goibibo. They put me in a basement room instead and told me to take it or leave it, and to speak to goibibo. The room itself was okay, with no complaints there, but I don't like dealing with people who have no values. To be fair, after I chased Goibibo for two weeks, they refunded me 1500 for not providing what had been promised. Be careful.
The quiet setting gave me a soothing break from the city's hustle. The rooms were spacious, very neat, and had a good view; the food tasted just like homemade food. This is one of the cleanest, tidiest hotels I've visited. Anyone planning a trip to Shillong can enjoy a lovely stay here. Highly recommended 👍
